Drawing Supplies I Used To Draw This RAM Truck
To make this drawing, I used Ohuhu Honolulu markers in the colors Colorless Blender (0), Neutral Grey 03 (CG030), Neutral Grey 3 (NG03), Neutral Grey 07 (CG070), Neutral Grey 6 (NG06), Black (120), Apricot (Y10), Tender Pink (RV300), Light Prawn (R120), Cadmium Red (R160), Lipstick Red (R170), and Garnet (R240).

I also used some Derwent Chromaflow colored pencils to add details. I used the White, Platinum, and Black pencils.
I used a white Posca PC-3M paint marker to add white highlights.
And I used an HB pencil, a ruler, an eraser, and a kneaded eraser.
I made this drawing on A4 size Canson Illustration Manga Paper.
How Do You Draw A Dodge RAM TRX Truck?
To create a realistic RAM truck drawing, you'll first need to find a good reference photo.
Next, you sketch the outline of the car.
After that, you color the RAM truck, part by part, until it is fully colored.
And to finish it off, you add a few details with colored pencils and a few highlights with a white paint marker.
Step 1: Look For A Reference Photo Of A Dodge RAM Truck You Like
When drawing a car realistically, using a reference photo is a must. In your reference photo, you can see how the light reacts to the different surfaces of the car, and you can use it to accurately sketch the proportions.
I found this amazing photo on Pexels.com, which is the one I used to create this drawing.

Step 2: Sketch The Basic Outline Of The RAM TRX
Using that reference photo, I started sketching the outline of the car.
To do that, I like to use the grid method. This makes getting the proportions accurate a lot simpler.
If you're not sure how to use this technique or what the grid method is, I highly recommend you check out this guide I wrote.
To use the grid method, I first resized the reference photo to the same size as my paper, which is 29,7 by 21 cm or 3508 by 2480 pixels.
Then, I added this grid overlay to it and marked the squares containing bits of the car in light blue.

Next, I recreated this grid on my paper. Each grid line is 2cm apart, and I only sketched the lines I marked in light blue.

Then, I lightened the grid with an eraser and started sketching.
To sketch the outline of the RAM truck, I broke it up into simple lines.
For each line, I marked the beginning, the end, and where it crosses grid lines, before sketching the line in one smooth motion.
I did this for the whole outer edge of the RAM TRX.

Step 3: Sketch The Parts & Details Of The Dodge RAM Truck
Now that the outline is done, sketching the rest of the car becomes a lot easier.
I first sketched the bigger shapes and parts of the car.
I used the same techniques as before to sketch each line of each part or shape of the RAM truck.

Next, I added the smaller details.

Step 4: Sketch The Wheels Of The RAM TRX
After that, I sketched the wheels.
I already sketched the outline of the wheels in step 2, and now we're going to add the details to it.
I first marked the center of the wheel with a small ellipse, and I added a bigger ellipse to mark the outer edge of the rim, where the tire begins.

Then, I sketched out one of the spokes, which kinda looks like a "Y" but with two vertical lines instead of one.

I then repeated this for the other spokes, and I marked where the bolts are.

Lastly, I added some more lines to the spokes to make them look a bit more 3D.

To finish off the sketch, I also marked out some reflections below the door mirror, I sketched the windshield as I forgot to do so earlier, and I sketched the outline of the shadow below the car.

Step 5: Color All Black Parts Of The RAM TRX
Now that the car is fully sketched, we can start to color it in.
I like to start by coloring all pure black parts first, as this makes the rest of the car easier to draw.

Step 6: Color The Wheels Of The RAM TRX Truck
Next up, I colored the wheels of the RAM truck.
I first colored all 3 of them with CG070.

Then, I used NG06 to add some shading to them.
I colored the whole tire of the front wheel on the left.
On the other wheels, I darkened the top half of the spokes, the bottom half of the tire, and the outer edge of the face of the tire.

Step 7: Color The Shadow Of The RAM Truck
Next, I colored the shadow, starting by coloring the outer edge with CG030.

Next, I used CG070 to color the middle edge and NG06 to color the center of the shadow.

Lastly, I smoothed the edges.
I used CG070 to color over the outer edge of the NG06. This will blend it out a bit, making it appear smoother.
I also used CG030 to color over the edge of the CG070.
And I used the colorless blender to blend out the outer edge of the shadow.

Step 8: Color The Front Of The RAM TRX Truck
After that, I focused on coloring the front of the car.
I started by coloring the lightest parts with NG03.

Then, I used CG070 to color the mid-tone parts.
On the skit plate (I believe it's called that) on the bottom, I also added some detailing by leaving some bits lighter grey.

Lastly, I used NG06 to color the rest of the front and to add some details and shading on the bottom of the skit plate.

Step 9: Color The Headlights Of The RAM Truck
Next, I colored both headlights with CG030, and I added some Apricot (Y10) to color the blinker on the right headlight.

After that, I colored the middle of both headlights with NG03.

Then, I used CG070 to add a few details and shading to the middle.

And lastly, I used NG06 to add some dark spots to the bottom and right of the right headlight.

Step 10: Color The Grey Parts On The Hood Of The Dodge RAM
Next, I colored the grey parts on the hood, which are in front of the air intake and the right edge of the hood, with NG03.

Step 11: Color The Wheel Arches & The Lower Side Of The RAM TRX Truck
After that, I used NG03 to color the front wheel arch, the top edges of the side step thing and the rear wheel arch, and the left and top edges of the rear bumper.

Next, I used CG070 to color the inner edge and the top left of the front wheel arch, the side step, the lower parts of the doors, the rear wheel arch except for a tiny edge at the bottom, and the remainder of the rear bumper.

Lastly, I used NG06 to color the remainder of the lower side, and I used it to darken the top left corner and the inside edge of the front wheel arch, the top and left edges of the rear wheel arch, the left edge of the rear bumper, and most of the lower parts of the doors.

Step 12: Color The Windshield Of The RAM Truck
Next, I color the side window you can see through the windshield using CG030.

Then, I used NG03 to color the rest of the windshield except for the top and right edges.
I also used it to add a few reflections on the side window and to color the tiny bit of door mirror on the left.

Lastly, I used CG070 to color the bottom right, right, top, and left edges, and to add a few reflections, mainly on the left side of the windshield.
I also used a bit of NG06 in the reflections on the left side and to color the bottom half of the door mirror cap.

Step 13: Color The Side Windows & The Mirror Of The RAM TRX
After that, I colored the top parts of the side windows and the top and bottom edges of the door mirror with NG03.
I also colored the top edge of the bed with NG03.

Then, I used CG070 to color the rest of the side windows and the mirror.

Lastly, I used NG06 to darken the window surrounds and the middle right of the door mirror.
I also used CG070 to add a few light reflections on the dark parts of the side windows.

And that's all the grey parts done!

Step 14: Color The Main Body Of The Dodge RAM Truck
Now we get to my favorite part of any car drawing: coloring the main body.
I started by coloring the lightest pink parts with Tender Pink (RV300), and I colored the mid-tone red parts with Cadmium Red (R160).

Next, I used Light Prawn (R120) to add some darker pink shading to some of the pink parts, mainly on the hood and the left side of the roof.
I also used Lipstick Red (R170) to add some darker red shading and reflection on the red bits of the RAM TRX.

And to finish it off, I used a little bit of Garnet (R240) to the reflections on the side of the RAM truck and the far left edge of that little bit of red below the headlight.

And that's the RAM TRX truck all colored in! But it's not yet finished.
Step 15: Add Details With Colored Pencils To Your Dodge RAM Truck Drawing
The RAM truck drawing is lacking a lot of the details right now, and a simple way to add those in is to use a black and a white colored pencil.
I used the black colored pencil to color the panel gaps between the hood and the grill piece, the top edge around the wheel arches, the bottom edge of the doors, and the gap between the cabin and the bed.
I also used it to add a little bit of texture to the tires, a dark edge to the left side of the windshield, the dark spots behind the door handles, the filler cap, and the tiny "RAM" text on the front door.
And I used the white pencil to add tons of highlights and details, mainly on the front of the car, the wheels, and some panel edges.

Step 16: Add Some Final Highlights To The RAM TRX Drawing
To make the RAM TRX drawing complete, I added a few bright white highlights with my white paint marker.
I added highlights to the light parts of the right headlight, the lights lower in the bumper, the bolts and a few bits of the spokes of the wheels, and a few bits here and there on the light pink parts of the body.

And that's how I drew this Dodge RAM TRX truck.
