€147.00US$187.00

Realistic drawing made with alcohol markers on 250 gsm A4 (11.7 by 8.3 inches) sized paper.

A Wonderful Piece of Engineering

When the 720S first came out it was a weird car, but slowly it started to grow on me.

A few months after the launch we went to a car museum where they had an exhibition of McLarens, including the new 720S. When seeing the car in real life for the first time it suddenly wasn't a weird car anymore; it was a wonderful piece of engineering.

From then on I started to really like the 720S. After 7 years, I finally decided to draw one.

The Reflections Brought This Car to Life

When I decided I was going to draw this car I stumbled on this beautiful photo of a red 720S with both doors up and with nice reflections. This had to be the one I was drawing.

When drawing this car, I was a little scared that it would look a bit boring and not very realistic. But when I started to add in those bright highlights, the car fully transformed into a photorealistic work of art.

An Alcohol Marker Drawing

I made this drawing with alcohol-based markers on sturdy A4-sized 250gsm paper and spent over 10 hours making this drawing.

Usually, it's quite difficult to get a marker drawing to look this realistic, but after years of experience, this drawing turned out very well. Better than I thought it would.
